Yes. Melissa Malaysia is the official authorised distributor, and every product on this site or at our listed retail stockists is sourced directly from Melissa in Brazil. To spot counterfeits, check for the bubblegum scent and the Melissa logo with "Made in Brazil" stamped on the sole.

Melissa infuses its shoes with a signature bubblegum scent as part of the brand experience. The scent fades gradually over a few months, though it can last longer depending on how the shoes are worn and stored.

They're separate brands. Ipanema is a footwear label also distributed in Malaysia by Enviably Me — the same company behind Melissa — so you'll find both carried by the same retailer, but they're independently designed and sold.

Prices vary by category: kids' and baby styles start around RM139, flats and slides from RM89, sandals from RM229, and platforms or heels from RM239 to RM350. Designer collaborations are the most expensive, ranging from RM347 up to RM1,429. Most pairs average between RM180 and RM650 depending on style.

No. Because Melissa shoes are made of PVC, they don't stretch the way leather or fabric does, so it's important to pick your correct size from the start rather than sizing up expecting them to loosen.

Wipe Melissa shoes with a damp cloth and mild soap to clean them. Avoid leaving them in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause discolouration. Full care instructions are printed on the base of the original shoebox.

Because MELFLEX™ PVC doesn't breathe like fabric or leather, some wearers notice their feet feel warmer in hot, humid weather — this is typical of jelly shoes generally, not specific to Melissa. They're best suited to casual, shorter wear or air-conditioned settings if you're prone to sweaty feet.

Melissa doesn't currently offer a dedicated wide-fit range, but the flexible PVC has some give around the foot. If you have wider feet, check individual product pages for fit notes from other shoppers, or visit a store to try a pair before buying.

MELFLEX™ PVC is designed to be durable and flexible, but like any material it can crack or show wear over time with heavy use. We don't currently offer a repair service — if your shoes arrive faulty, see our Returns & Exchange policy; general wear and tear isn't covered.

Melissa shoes aren't designed as specialist arch-support or orthopedic footwear the way some dedicated comfort brands are. That said, selected styles feature a soft, cushioned insole for added comfort — check individual product pages for cushioning details on the style you're interested in.

Yes. Orders with a minimum spend of RM250 qualify for free nationwide shipping. Below that, shipping is RM15 for West and East Malaysia.

Orders to Klang Valley typically arrive within 2 to 5 working days of confirmation, while other areas in Malaysia take 3 to 7 working days. Deliveries run Monday to Friday only.

Yes, we ship to Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore for a flat rate of RM30, with delivery taking approximately 15 to 25 working days depending on the destination country.

Yes. Regular-priced and sale items can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of your order, provided they're unworn, in original condition with tags and packaging intact. Items discounted 50% or more are final sale.

Once your return is received and assessed, we issue the refund to your original payment method right away. It can take up to 7 working days for your bank to reflect the funds in your account.
